The New Cars
I went to The New Cars concert at the Canyon Club last week. The Canyon Club is an intimate dinner club in Agoura, California. I really wasn't expecting that much since I had just been somewhat disappointed with the Police concert the week before. Anyway, the concert just blew me away. (I'm not just saying that because Elliot Easton is an avid watch collector). Todd Rundgren, the new lead singer, somehow seemed to leave well enough alone while adding his own personal touch. The music had more of an edge and was played with more urgency and authority. After I heard the show, I went on-line to find out more about the reincarnation of the group. I only found positive reviews, and in my opinion, they were well deserved.
