I only recently learnt of it, though I’m Dorset born (strong in arm, thick in head) we always used to visit Hardy’s monument when I was young and admire the view. Now there are numerous walks all around the surrounding area both long and short and it’s particularly special for me. If your still in England, it’s worth a visit, fantastic views on a good day. 😀

This I’ve never seen or heard of before, nor the Hardy monument for some reason. I come back home to England annually and history is so densely packed you can fall over it at every step. Yet it’s still very easy to miss important things.
