Not sure what a IB is but it sounds like you got a new job so Congrats!
In my field, practice management consults/courses were very helpful when I started out. Networking helps to build and expand. Of course being involved in philanthropic projects is always great (not just for your job but for yourself). There are others but on the subject of recent events, not burning bridges would be a good one. You have only one reputation, might as well keep it a good one.
