So far so good with Genwa, we head back to the La Cienega location. Unlike the original Genwa, here you can make a reservation ahead of time. The restaurant on Wilshire take only walk ins, they get crazy busy so a long wait (especially on the weekends) can happen. Fellow PuristS ED-209 came with us and we got to order more items...
They have the clear noodles 'Chap Chae' and it was really good!
We were here to try this:
The Genwa Kobe beef:
We could have gotten the bean soup but since it was good last time we stuck with the bimbimbap rice dish:
more beef!
Nice and charred but not over cooked...
We really enjoyed the food so we added more stuff:

Hello PuristS foodies! Here in the City of Angles it's easy to find good restaurants to dine at. One of my favorite places drastically changed their menu so on the advice of local PuristS I tried some new ones. I really enjoy Korean BBQ so I've been frequ...

Usually we are stuffed by the end of our meal at Genwa Korean BBQ. Their desserts always looked tempting but we never have enough room. Since ED-209 joined us he ordered a round a ice cream. The Green Tea ice cream was served with a candied ginger jelly a...

Thanks for the report on Genwa. I'm enjoying all these recent food posts from DRMW, Thomas, Dean, cazalea, cen@jkt, and jporos. I kinda like cooking the beef by myself because I like it more charred. So if you were to rank the Korean BBQ places in LA, whi...
