Morning Walk in Flower-Filled Neighborhood, Part 2

This car skulked in its driveway. It appeared almost like a modern version of a Citroen, with one black eye and one white eye.

A guy passed us pushing 2 kids and pulling 2 huge dogs.

Forelorn bicycle now only suitable to hold a basket of flowers.

A pair of cows stared at us wide-eyed, as we walked by.

And a mockingbird above mocked us.

The hummingbird was more friendly and tolerated my multiple photos, as I tried to get the light just right.

Entry Sidewalk tiles are a new item of interest on my walk “checklist”. These are fine and adorn the steps where Mr Keeling used to live...

The sun came out, hit the flowers and our eyes BAM (as Emeril Lagassie used to say on his TV show)

Whew. I put on my sunglasses, then played games with a hummingbird that was chasing gnats. If you didn’t know, they like a good piece of meat now and then to go with their nectar diet.

Skies are getting bluer! Yay

I noticed the similarity of the juniper bushes (above) and the roofline of this house (below) when all the homes around are more conventional in design,.

Can you guess the direction of the prevailing winds around here?  BTW InDebtButOnTime has a red Miata; I wonder if that’s his car?

Stone Man scowls down at us from his perch over the garage.

This rock-clad house used to have its entire front yard filled with cascading water. But they turned it off a few years ago. I might find a picture of the waterfalls if I look...

We are on the edge of the hill. Looking out to the Northwest (past an apartment building) we can see the ocean (and people below us). Take a look:

Peeking past the apartment building:

Teacher going to the junior high school across the way:

Farther out, Mission Bay roller coaster, hotel and the Pacific Ocean.

I’ll finish with Part 3 if you care to come along just a bit more.
