Hi All
I know over the last few years there's been a rush of bronze watches - so we can all enjoy wearing something that patinas over time.
I thought I'd share something else that allows you to enjoy the process - but on a slightly larger scale. A Kaikado tea caddy - they come either as copper, brass or tin and all change and develop over time in different ways and at different speeds.
Here's my copper one that arrived late last year.
The patina is already developing & in the last photo you can see the contrast between the interior & the outside that has been handled. Longer term it will go a more uniform matt colour as I use it more. I really like how it's made & how when you put the upper lid back on it just slides gently down.
I'd been eyeing these for a few years ( I'm never very quick off the mark) and bought one late last year - really enjoy using it. My only caveat is that as I got the 100g version it's a bit small - aesthetically it's the one I like the most, but the capacity isn't great if you like really large leafed tea as I do. Plan is to get another larger one - but only after I've had a proper look at them in a shop. Some things you just need to see and handle before getting it
Cheers
