Out in Monterey Park is a restaurant next to a Asian supermarket, K&Y:
The place is small but very busy.
Pickled cucumbers, very garlicky and a bit sweet.
They are known for their Xiao Long Bao:
These were very good but nothing exceptional as was the Beef Noodle Soup:
For some strange reason, the Beef Tendon soup tasted better than the Beef Noodle Soup:
Maybe it was from a different soup stock or prepped by a different chef?
We tried the Scallion Pancake, not bad. A little bit on the thick side but was cooked well.
The potstickers were like the Xiao Long Bao, it was good but not great:
The waitress recommended the fried fish. These were whole fried and had a light batter. A bit too salty for me.
Since it was lunch time, someone ordered the Sweet and Sour Pork, actually it was pretty good!
The Spicy Wontons ended up like the potstickers and Xiao Long Bao, good but nothing that stood out from other places:
