It's been a while since last sharing a cue project, of which . . .

 

. . . there are three under construction.  Last week, Bob sent pics of the one closest to completion, a cored snakewood forearm and butt with persimmon handle . . .








. . . trimmed in white.  Snakewood, as some may be aware, is notably unstable and consequently difficult to work with.  The prep time for this cue was considerably longer than other cues Bob's made so far.  I might not play with it regularly, as snakewood is known to shatter under conditions most other wood types could easily withstand.  But it may well be the most beautiful in my collection.
