To me, if you're going to ruin your health on a burger, you want a top example of what's out there.
Face it guys & gals, life's too short. Kinda like wine.
In n' Out is probably SoCal's most reliable fast food burger, but for the real deal. you don't do fast food.
A good American "Kobe" from a good place can make all the difference. I've had real Kobe in Japan and though you appreciate the process, it's too damn costly for a piece of meat for the end result.
Even in my modest local, we have a fabulous American Kobe burger at Savory Cafe (minus the L.A. "hipster" tax). I'll go there all day long (until my arteries give out).
Did have a great burger at the Burger Bar in SFG a few weeks ago. Very nice burgers and a much nicer locale than the one in Vegas in Mandalay Bay (very dingy).
