TimeOut

Ben, your a racer so...

Ben, your a racer so probably get more info from
inside the trade, i just see what i see on TV. Corser does seem to have Foggy
'blame the bike' disease, rather than just say 'i was crap and fell off'
:)

i'm very surprised BMW didnt bring out a nice
1200cc boxer to race. i'm sure they had the technology to make it rev higher and
be more useful. it would have saved millions in development although when i
think about it as i type, an across the frame 4 is not much different to a K
series engine moved around a bit.  probably what they call an 'all new
engine design' :)

i hated riding the K1100's at work and couldnt
wait until they got rid of the last of them and bought the pan Europeans in. i
felt old before my time sitting on a K. in fact apart from the F650's(as they
were) and the GS's they all made me feel like that.

My pegaso was one of the first models, the newer
model lost all design flair with plain colours like silver. i should think most
of my model in pink/purple have dissappeared from the roads. it wasnt new when i
bought it, about 3-4 years old and i had it 3 years selling it in 2000 for my
Tiger. it was an L plate in UK which was 92/93 and ended up with a sports
silencer due to rot in the original. lovely loud free flowing bike, up to a ton
it kept up with anything else my mates had and handled like a supermotard which
i suppose in effect it was. 5 valve head made it rev high. my only criticism was
a km clock and too small a tank. stop for a fill every 120 miles. i used to run
it on Michellin MT50's which are superb road tyres for off road bikes. big slabs
of sticky rubber with a V shaped rain channels in them.

anyway, must go. i'm told we're off to the
Cinema to see night at the musem 2.  oh what fun :)
