'All the bells and whistles Clock' 🤪

The Basilica Bell Tower in Mexico City. It features 48 cast-bronze bells, a cyclorama with an animatronic retelling of the Juan Diego legend, and six distinct timepieces including a civil clock, a sundial, an astrolabe, and an Aztec calendar clock.

I also remember the explanation from our tour guide that the deeper origin of Guadalupe is likely Arabic/Hispano-Arabic, because many Spanish place names beginning with Guad-/Guadal- come from the Arabic word "wādī", meaning “river valley” or “riverbed.” ... 

My visits to Mexico were to visit a friend down there but also to dig a bit into my own roots, as my grandmother (tiny lady next to me) was sent to the US for her safety, during Mexican revolutionary times. This picture was taken about 50 years ago! Her f...  

Of course since I took the picture I knew where it was; I just wondered if there were any locals who would claim it. We used to go to Mexico a few times each year, but have tapered off on our travels due to age and general laziness...
