I have fond memories of the time when I visited there. Especially the park behind the basilica.

My visits to Mexico were to visit a friend down there but also to dig a bit into my own roots, as my grandmother (tiny lady next to me) was sent to the US for her safety, during Mexican revolutionary times.
This picture was taken about 50 years ago!
Her father (my great grandfather) was a state governor in Mexico, where things were getting heated during the revolution.
