New Year's & New Views of Old Stuff, Part 1
A Bit Chilly, Traffic Lighter than Usual, Too Much to Do, Too Little Time, Honey-Do List Getting Longer, Cars Sleeping, Batteries Going Flat, etc. etc.
So we are out walking and driving again, and we'll start with a few beautiful houses, for our architecture fans.
This looks very much like a house in Coronado, but it's here on the mainland. Maybe the owners have one in each area?

These are all in what's called "The Wooded Area" of San Diego, settled about 100 years ago (or more) so missing things like sidewalks and other popular suburban features.

This house apparently heated by wood and they walk in on color-coordinated gravel.

Kicking it up a notch and sideways to this home with a more East Coast vibe.

Of course we can't scan homes without coming across interesting cars, such as this Westfalia Vanagon. It's higher too, like a Syncro.

The house it's parked in front of is hosting a beautiful Corvair Sport Coupe in the driveway - I'll guess it's a 1966 😉

We were driving by and I spotted this DKW bike on a side street. We made an immediate Bat-Turn (turned around on a dime) and screeched in for a closer look.

A 1939 Motorcycle DKW Auto Union Audi, etc. was running to warm up, so we had a short chat. The bike is black but with a recent watercolor paint patina. He's had it 5-6 years and was heading out for a ride.
I noticed a lot of bicyclists on the road, fulfilling their New Year's Resolutions (at least once) so I took some pictures as we headed to the Old Lighthouse at Cabrillo Monument.

I wore this one but it stopped during our walk 🤔

🤦♂️ Haven't taken the sticker off the back of the watch, which would have revealed:
Luckily, I had this on the other wrist.
