We walked around a crowded commercial harbor known as Quivira Basin, which in addition to commercial and recreational boats and a boatyard, includes Marina Village (a conference center and wedding venue). Doesn't sound like wilderness, does it? What a sur...

Seriously, those pelicans look huge. But the range of species you pointed out is entrancing, always wondering what you will point out next. Thanks for a nice escape.

Lovely nature...

Nature is the most lovely. Although I have to add, that man-made Ferrari machine looks quite lovely too.

Ouch!!!

The county maintenance crews are now preparing for the upcoming storms with salt trucks... the snow, ice, freezing temps, slippery roads... Good old Kansas City winter weather.

Oh no!

Weather wise our Quivira Lake and Quivira Road are nice.....

But that scenery would probably make any of us residents here envious and jealous during our annual winter storms....
