TAG Heuer

Nothing to do with TagH... but I always thought 'Homages' is a funny term...

Which seems to be used in the watch world do describe copies of originals... like those Panerai look a likes which are not made by Panerai but are identical but without the logo. Most (including me) would call them copies... watch people call them 'Homages'!

Whereas a homage in my sons dictionary (it was out for homework!) says it means 'a special honor or publicly announced respect' with synonyms like respect, acclaim, honour, tribute, acknowledgment, recognition; accolade, reverence. No where does it seem to mention a cheap copy smile

However, I think Tag Heuer is paying great respect, honour, etc to their past and originals like the Steve McQueens etc when selecting which pieces to reissue. As you guys have said... they have in many cases improved them with new technology.

I can't wait for this one for next year, the winning watch from the Autavia Cup!

Sorry off track... but every time I see this word used it makes me smile smile

Cheers
Andrew
