Saying JUST "fake" is so easy. He would have been more convincing had he said "franken". The movement is NOT fake, it is an original Valjoux 72 for Heuer-Leonidas. The case appears genuine Carrera. The dial looks genuine to me.
I am really at loss on this one. Yes, the case looks wrong and should be cushion-shaped, but I would hate to call it a franken because all the parts look genuine to me, including the dial. Any help would be much appreciated...

I'm sure he meant that it was a frankenwatch, and I am trying to clarify that. There seems no question that all the parts are genuine Heuer, but I believe he is saying no Camaro was ever released with a round case.
I can cite the example of a Omega Seamaster 300 in solid gold that some "specialists" labelled fake without further do, but the watch turned out to be a 100% genuine watch as I suspected. And I do not consider myself an Omega expert, so much for these so-...
