I sometimes wonder if they know …

Thank you Abel 🙏

Why not use an actual number instead of One Of XXX

 By: openworked : July 28th, 2022-13:44
I think it's lame when manufacturers write One of XXX instead of using an actual number. It saves them money for manufacturing costs but it makes tracking a watch much harder and it feels less limited IMO.

I agree ☝️

I think it looks awesome!

But what strap would you go for 😉….

How about a matching shade of red croc !

Red crock or burgundy alcantra would be cool indeed!

I have been looking for a red dial wristwatch and this one is really nice also like the Reverso tribute with the red dial…

15mm thickness saved me money for otherwise an excellent dial..

A modern watch should not be more than 13mm thick unless its 500 m water resistant. Just my 2 cents...

It’s a fair point 🤔

 By: Cpt Scarlet : July 28th, 2022-16:29

Yes indeed it's under 15 but exact thickness is still not clear sir.

Diameter: 39mm Thickness: 14.7mm (Hodinkee)

Two reasons for the height

By: COUNT DE MONET : July 29th, 2022-15:32
The movement is mostly stacked together and not screwed. The other reason is the boxshaped glass. The watch is very modern with its 8oh power reserve and a miniscule, little balance.

The multiple reissues of the Heuer Carrera attest to the fact that the original design was brilliant.

 By: BigAppleBill : July 28th, 2022-16:19
But with good examples of the original 2447 still available for not much more than a reissue, it seems an easy choice to go with the original version. Plus you get a Valjoux 72 movement, the same movement that’s in the Newman Daytona, which makes it a rel...

Superb ! …

Now we’re taking 👍

interesting: less than 1.000 pieces

By: COUNT DE MONET : July 28th, 2022-16:39
Former variations were issued at 1.000 pieces. That aside, the red touches of the movement are cool, however the orange accents on the dial are too subdude, too tame. Overall a very attractive watch.

Dear Captain, I think you have a Tag carrera Montreal from memory no? Is it the same movement?

By: Chronometer (aka yacomino) : July 28th, 2022-20:22
If yes do you get COSC like rate with it?

If I can tell from my experience: the movement performs far better than COSC

By: COUNT DE MONET : July 28th, 2022-20:34
My watch runs +2 sec/day. If accuracy is a worry, no need to worry here: is is really a top movement.

My bad I was confusing with our friend the Count!

I thought you were trying ….

 By: Cpt Scarlet : July 28th, 2022-21:51
to get me buying another watch 🤔

You don’t need my help for that ! ROFL!

By: Chronometer (aka yacomino) : July 28th, 2022-22:49

So true 🤣

 By: Cpt Scarlet : July 29th, 2022-06:50

I like that red! Goes really well with the orangy-coloured-lume

Haven't followed Tag for a while - are their chrono's still based on Seiko's 6S37 movement?
