I traveled to Japan on a group tour and cruise (on my own dime), but Seiko sponsored my travel within Japan on bullet trains, bought me a few meals, and gave me permission to share.
At the time of my visit in late 2014, each studio employed about 600 people. I would be interested in your comparisons of the sights I saw with those you have recently observed.

Seiko plans to double GS revenue over the next 5 years, and they have a lot of room for growth. It’s basically a two market brand right now, US and Japan. I think they sell more watches to Chinese tourists in Japan, than they sell in China (excluding HK)....
Great Info 👍 I remember 18 years ago GS had a strong following in Japan and some Asian countries such as Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and so on...
Given the strong international push in recent years I would expect that they widen their network in Asia especially China further as well like they did in the US
I think you may be significantly underestimating their production numbers
