The Roman numerals, otherwise not my favorite on watches somehow seem to work here too, probably for the same reason 😊👍🏻

i owned that one and the next gen presage, gave them to my daughters. I hope they appreciate them as much as I did.

It had the dark blue enamel dial, but the hands were a different shape.

But that probably allowed for the price point to be where it was. I believe Seiko didn’t have slimmer movements outside of the more expensive range 🤷🏻♂️
Probably true...but if they removed the display back,
which doesn't enhance the watch imho,it could be a mite thinner
