The SBGR305 or the first modern single logo Grand Seiko
The SBGR305 I find to be quite an intriguing piece. It introduced the single logo (at least for the modern era), a new movement that was subsequently hardly used, a much larger date wheel and came with a new case design (in titanium) and a lovely grained dial.
Still, somehow it didnβt seem to capture the imagination of the watch buying public nearly as much as the ingredients would suggest.
I also got mine me years after the launch and like it a lot. A beautiful, understated piece and in some ways a proper Grand Seiko as a result.
And it works with different straps quite well, even if you might not approve of my pairing choices π
Any other GSs on wrists these days?
