Seiko Presage SPB499J1 – Urushi Classic Series
I never had a “lacquer” Seiko dial and wanted to see what I was missing. This “Urushi” feels and looks nice on the wrist. While I just received it today, so the novelty hasn’t worn off, I am very impressed with the quality of the watch in all respects. I would definitely recommend this watch for anyone looking for a somewhat dressy black dialed watch at an extremely affordable price. It definitely punches above its weight. It continues to astound that quality timepieces can be found at this price level. Well done Seiko!

You’re so right, Kristjan! The thing is, I have been in and out of the hobby on several occasions over the past 20 years, as life, including raising kids, working crazy hours, etc. has occasionally gotten in the way.
