Seiko EVISEN Skateboard Watches

Seiko announced today a partnership with noted Japanese skateboard manufacturer EVISEN. Three watches that incorporate Japanese themes, loosely related to skateboarding. Not our mainstream sort of watches, but some details appeal to me, I must admit...

FIRST MODEL SRPF94K1 - Gold with black Kanji bezel



SECOND MODEL SRPF93K1 - Stainless with dial the color of polurethane wheels, with bearing under the hands



THIRD MODEL SRPF95K1 - Stainless with red bezel and dial.  I like this one!


Sashimi red dial, crown the color of soy sauce, strap the color of rice, second hand lume the color of wasabi.



A very very cool 50-second video, but best viewed sitting down so you don't fall over while watching it!

I would even claim Seiko copied some of my creations, as I have some Seiko Insta followers and some releases look familiar. I just think they have such a precious tradition and blood line that they are not treating well... just my 2cts. Some of my recent ...

In "the olden days" of my youth, customers were just lower life forms who gave money so the artisans could sustain themselves. They certainly were not the source of creative ideas that would be adopted by any self-respecting company! Sigh. Cazalea

They remind me of what Swatch does with the system 51. Strangely - while I wouldn't get it, the second one is quite appealing. Cheers JML
