Seiko's are bullet proof
So the 10 year service might nit be far off. Kinda ties into the discussion on HOME about getting your watch serviced.
There's a great review on here of a 726s watch - where they used to dismantle them & conclusion is pretty much that.
Urushi while not cheap - or even close to a Seiko 5. They are fantastic value & not hugely expensive - probably cheaper than a service on some.
As I've said in passed its all about the dial - & it is glorious 
I certainly encourage you to consider one when the funds allow - I've not regretted getting it.

Your last shot really does justice to the watch.
I have yet to see one in the flesh, but can imagine how deep the dial will look. The gold hands just work very well with it. Thanks for sharing, Imran

Urushi series, Enamel (Ho-Ro in Japanese) series.... They are both high quality bang for the buck watches - IMHO. I am enjoying my Urushi Presage chrono (although a bit chunky). Thanks for sharing your journey and photos with us. Have fun! Ken

And so is - of course - the watch. But sticking to one for so long is still a sign of great perseverance May be time to get an Urushi myself

Particularly the dial Have wanted to wear it - been a complete pleasure. I know at some point it will have a few days rest. As I said one of my better decisions - I'd definitely encourage getting one. Cheers JML

Then it will get some rest I will definitely have a look. My watch budget is empty at the moment, though

Oh I will definitely consider it :)
As you said, when the funds allow And I do not want to get too many watches that I end up hardly wearing, so being somewhat careful in what I get, even if it does not cost a lot
