Interesting observations
I was writing a headline and wanted the contrast of Land (master) and Sea. As in SeaDweller, Sea Hawk, etc.
I’ve never lived in the East; only in California, Washington and Hawaii, and always within walking distance of salt water (ocean, harbor, bay, sound, inlet, lagoon, etc).
My current location is just slightly higher and drier than this:

Ah. Sorry. Poetic license. You've lived in beauful places. Can I ask what made you leave Hawaii.
It's sort of always been my grail location. Although vacationing in a place and living there are often far different.

I know what you mean about living close to the Pacific. We do Hawaii twice a year and we missed Sept.
Hope we both get back there soon. It is open but not many amenities are yet.
