I don't know about the dials either, but here are a few
The outer dials don't have the mark but the sealed inner one does. Maybe replacement dials came from Suwa?
The faded one on the right might be an aftermarket dial, as it has no markings at the bottom.

You might be right, it seems pretty standard for these to have markings on the dials. It's the same for all my Seiko's from that period.
I think the Suwa dials were standard on the Japanese domestic market watches (the ref 6306) which was only in existence for maybe 4 years based on what I've read (76-80). [This could be incorrect, if someone knows please correct me]. By contrast the 6309 ...

The dial I assume says "Movement and Dial Japan Cased Hong Kong" at the bottom, it looks like that could be the case from your picture but hard to read.

I had the local Seiko AD replace the strap and insert. He couldn't find an insert from Seiko so I ended up buying one online.
