Credor - Yet another wonderfully engraved masterpieces!
Mar 21, 2017,07:21 AM
These particular models are not on English press release, but I have got permission to post them here as they are to be displayed at Basel, and probably go around the world.
From Credor, "Cherry Blossom" and "Japanese Ox-Cart" motif engraved model
As you know. "Credor" came from a French word "Crete D'Or". Also here you have to understand Japanese unique concept of joy of decorating the back side, rather than the front side.
Let us just look at the master piece....
MOP dial with beautiful hexagonal engraving + diamond 3, 6, 9, 12 indices.
Now, this is what I meant "decorate back side rather than the front side" Look at how 3D this "thing" is!
The rope of the "Ox-Cart" is incredibly naturally made. The "Cart" does NOT move with the balance wheel, unfortunately
The petals of the cherry blossoms are MOP as well.
See Mr. Terui's initial "T" on the bottom of the pic?

This is another "Cherry blossom" motif model. Upper side of the dial shows the sky where sparrows are flying, while the lower side shows cherry blossoms made with MOP. All elements are very Japanese traditional motif.

This is Mr. Engraver at Seiko, Mr. Kiyoshi Terui, who I have introduced here a few times. A very friendly gentleman, but has been awarded ”Medal with Yellow Ribbon" from the Emperor which are given to those who excelled in its own line of business.....
The top one is to be made by him, and the latter will be made under his supervision.
Really candy for the eyes. These will go to Basel and I am sure they will go around the SEIKO boutique all around the world.
Thank you folks. I hope you will meet those in person in Basel or else.
Best,
Ken
