As beautiful as new...

Thanks for the post.
The Discus, not sure what coating on the metal, so far still looks like new. Even after a few knockings.
The crystal (HardFlex) is free from scratch too.
The part I changed is the straps...the creasings at the stiffened areas were getting obvious.
Only part which is lightly scratched is the buckle

Noticed that small indent...
Kong, I noticed from your pics that there is a small indent on the discus at the 45 second mark, and also the 45 minute mark. So I checked my watch and discovered that it too has a similar small indent at the exact same locations! Not sure why that indent...

I just love it! While it reminds me somehow of Rado (possibly the shiny black case finish as well as the black crystal - I would love to wear one of these watches. Seiko keeps going up in my estimation. Cheers Harry

Frank, the case stands up perfectly to wear and tear.
i use mine dog walking, 4x4ing, in fact everything the same as i do all my mainstream watches and there isnt a mark on it. i'm not sure what the coating is, but it looks like ceramic black. it stands up a damn sight better than some (or many) pvd'd watche...

I really would love to add a Seiko burger at some point. Been trying to find one for a while now but like you said there hard to find . Enjoy yours to the max
