Some of them can be very difficult to source new crystals for (original hardlex tricky find for, e.g. KS45-7xxx), and you do not want to be trying to use glass polishing diamond paste to get scratches out ;-) .. some of the day/date movements can be a bit... 

I think if you are in Asia you have a better chance of finding decent KS watches (and parts)

I wouldn't recommend it to a new watch collector in the US or Europe, but that's just me (trouble avoidance) on the points mentioned by others. Happy hunting Mike
