Hello again! I'm thinking about getting a quartz GS to go with my SBGW047. I was curious if anyone has either seen or owns either: - the Self Dater limited re-issue ref SBGV 009 / 011, or - the 44GS style SBGV 005 / 007. I like the Seiko historical re-iss... 

... to answer your question. All GS cases were/ are made like that - 13 to 15 times forging and in between 5 minutes heated at 1,500C (in case of SS, other metals are heated at different temperature). Then, shaved a bit and polished - edges are left compl...

Hi, Vernon, If you enjoy your GS SBGW047, it is likely you will love the quartz GS SBGV009 as well. For me personally, SBGV009 is a necessary complementary piece to SBGW047. I take note on regular basis and the date feature on SBGV009 is very useful for m...
