About the movement...
I can tell you a little about the movement. It was originally introduced in the "Niko Fine" line back in 1958. Like most of their miniature movements it is made to be exceptionally robust, having very thick square cut plates, shock protection on the escape wheel pivots and cap jewels in chatons on the forth wheel. It is the only tonneau shaped movement from Seiko that I know of.

I started out thinking "a round of beers" and changed it to "a couple of beers" since the watch only cost $50 I thought that might cover "a couple". Mike
