A touch of red for the Grand Seiko SBGR077 at CERN 🧲
This was probably one of the last double logo GSs I could realistically expect to get from a GS boutique. I always wanted one of GSs anti magnetic watches and this one certainly fit the bill. The other Milgauss if you wish.
As is customary mine had the bracelet removed right there and then and has been living on a range of straps (most red, to match the writing on the dial).
Just the watch for visiting CERN 🧬

The inner soft iron core makes it larger and thicker than other GSs, so a different case design was needed.
Were you there the day they announced that they had in fact turned lead into gold?
Albeit only for microseconds....and at great expense! Great exhibits at CERN - made up for not being able to go underground the day I was there in April

There used to be a joke about turning lead into gold in the old days. A farmer’s son went to the city to study and when he returned home from term break he had to endure the scathing comments of the neighbors (stealing god’s time and his father’s money). ...
So something learned 😁
