100 years ago, wristwatches were a novelty especially in Japan ( Seiko was there )

Antique in every respect except the movement, but it might be a nice thing to have and/or hand down to your kids.

Seiko doesn’t seem to want to get tighter on its specs though the modern movements seem to do better than spec.

That's lazy approach, to say the least.

A watch in this price range and with so much historical significance should be regulated for better results. Just my 2 cents. Regards

great dimension too but 12.3mm in thickness might be deemed too thick for a dress watch.

I agree but I think it was meant to be the same size as the original
