A substantial yet still compact case (by today’s standard).
Though I don’t mind to have a 116600 too, which is also 40mm (but somehow looks slightly bigger than 16600) and with all good stuff of modern rolex dive watches (ceramic bezel insert, superb clasp with glidelock)

My first Rolex, and one that still provides immense pleasure on the wrist. The dial, the lack of the cyclops and the slight thicknesses. And the right size lugs, Thin. All things to love.
