As you've heard above, you'll just get the scratches again. And I would like to repeat what our friend Alkiro has said, it can be terrible sometimes... A Speedmaster I bought early on was a victim of bad polishing. It's not fun, really ruins the watch. Best of luck!

Hello all, I have a GMT Master IIC (116710LN) that was manufactured in 2007, the first year that this new model was released. It is due for servicing and I'm wondering if I should have it polished or not. I would like it to look new again, but am wonderin...
I would say no for a vintage timepiece but here why not. It depends who will polish your watch as the result can be catastrophic sometimes.
If you only have minor dents you can keep it in its state. If the case is in really bad condition, you should think about a polishing yes. Best wishes Alkiro

I would advise against it
After a very bitter experience I have realised that post manufacturing refurbishment is never going to be as good; angles can be lost and symmetry of the watch will more than likely be ruined. If it is just the bezel, have that changed. A new bezel makes ...
