Funny you mention Goldberger, I just watched the second Talking Watches with him earlier today.
I was not aware of the drama re the Daytona. What’s the issue?
There doesn’t seem to be any question that the watch was restored, this was eventually disclosed.
And I guess the other point is if the replacement parts did not exist because the watch was a unicorn (1 of 1) then where did those parts come from. I’m sure some vintage Rolex folks here may have a view.
