Mine doesn't have this orange patina which is so particular on Joe's 16660. But still, the patina developed a warm yellowish color which pleases me so much.
The Triple 6 is a watch apart. We discussed that a lot, during all these years. To make it short, a transitional reference which lived a few years with the matte dial, then with the circled indices.
Sapphire plus tritium indices=Best of both words. A watch you can use during your water hobbies, which has a vintage character.
One of these very good vintage Rolexes.

Joe has some wild patina. The ones like you and me have been taking a beating for years while Joe's has remained treasured for many years before Joe had the pleasure hence the dark patina. Soo nice. Bill ...
No. The patina comes from the lack of light and some humidity.
The white color are synonyms with watches that spent a lot of their life in the wild. Exposed to sun light and water and use. I used to see mostly this color patina from Hong kong. But Joe\'s i think was US. Bill

Whether patinated or whiter, it obviously changes the look but it remains equally attractive. Wear them in the best of health my friends Mike

.....i will point out that I have been consistent on this for years. I remember sitting with you with the following in front of us....6200, 1665 Oman, Two Mk1 PPs and the Mk2 PP.... and i stated then that only one was never for sale.
