Many thx dsd, tassos, and bakerb22 for your thoughts. Leaning towards the deepsea right now, will make the final decision by this weekend. The green crystal milgauss is intriguing and provokes the imagination (as per the harry potter comments), but I worry that the novelty will wear off after some time, whereas the deepsea would remain a classic design. Not looking to have the one watch serve both dress watch and sporty watch roles; think that the deepsea would be more comfortable in use as a sporty watch than the milgauss in a sporty watch or dress watch role.
In any case, i'm going to sleep on it for a couple more days and then pull the trigger. Will let you gents know what i end up doing.

As an owner of both, I would say that it would really depend on the use of the watch. The Deapsea is a neat piece, but it does have its drawbacks (like the ability to wear french cuffs with the watch on). However, the Milgauss scratches very easily, so if...
