Rolex

Hi everyone, The clasp flap on my Submariner is getting harder and harder to close and open when locking, even though my watch is quite new. Has anyone else experienced this? Any comments or recommendations will be appreciated. Best, GWF ...  

I would first check with a loupe to see if there's anything lodged between the moving parts, such as leftover stickers. If not, maybe some lubrication would help.

That is the best way to solve issue indeed. But with my question I also wanted to know if it was a common thing or not. Thanks kjkt3

I had the exact same issue - if you’re wearing it daily, likely an accumulation of dirt. I took mine to a local watch repair store and he cleaned it up in a couple minutes

My experience with multiple Rolex clasps over quite a long time is that they stay consistent, open and close with just the right amount of effort (not too loose, not too tight). All modern ones are very solid, so it's not like with vintage stamped parts. ...
