Here in Costa Rica... Good time to take a few pics of this lovely 16570 polar from 1998. It still remains completely unmolested, never polished and never serviced... On Monday, I will take it to a local technician who will take good care of the 3185 and nothing more

they probably made them in sufficient quantities to meet demand, too.

26 years without servicing and living in the tropics-send it to a rolex service centre
there will be many parts needing replacing as they will be worn out as the seals will have failed. the setting wheel post for starters may need replacing along with the axle for the winding/oscillating weight for starters

Wish they made these in 40mm again. Tried one new at the AD recently but a tad big for my liking. Need a tool watch and I’d snag one instantly if it was in 40mm. Enjoy yours…

I tried the 42mm and to my surprise it felt quite good (which I was not expecting on my 17 cms wrist), however I am more fond of the 40mm five digits... they are just soooo nice on the wrist you forget you are wearing one, so I am with you
