Rolex service
My new RO ref: 116000 (bought last November) ran slower than it should, so I took it to the London service centre at 19 St James Square. They could not have been more helpful and it was back with me three weeks later. Their repairer, apparently on the premises, was not happy with the mainspring, which they changed, and the watch was serviced and adjusted. Now running well. PM me if you need more details. All under warranty. The London AD that sold the watch and who is near to the Rolex centre, recommended me to go direct because the AD's own authorised workshop was being refurbished.

you do have legal rights if you give them a fair chance to correct the problem and they are unable to resolve the issue. Who was the retailer ?
I bought it from watches of Switzerland at the Heathrow airport
And I went back to them each time the watch stopped to get it sent to Rolex.

Yes, Rolex warranty repairs are quite opaque
I think they always call it a “movement check”, but never give more details. I bet they use the same term from simple rate adjustments to full on movement overhauls. :/ Richemont group brands are much better in terms of describing the work done imho, but ...
Two times back to Rolex
and the problem is not corrected? Frankly, I have never heard that with Rolex. Rolex should simply replace the watch as a goodwill gesture even though they are not required to do so under their warranty contract.
But should I write a letter or an email to them?
Not sure if they actually care as my datejust is far from being one of their most expensive piece...
