Rolex 1655 "Freccione" Strap options

I thought I would try to dress the Rolex 1655 a couple of different ways. I started first with a little research and I found that very people actually pretty close to none had examples I could follow. So I decided to give it a shot myself and try a few strap changes.

I am a big fan of leather straps on Submariners as well as the obvious nato choices. I fee that both nato and leather straps give the solid dark but simple face a frame of sort. They do not distract from the watch but rather make it pop.

So here we go with a few examples. I won't state my opinion up front so as not to bias anyone or plant ideas. Have a quick look and see what you think. If you have some examples please feel free to add them.

Seeing your 1655 fitted to the bund made me change my mind. It gives the watch a look "a la" Indiana Jones, which in part goes perfect with the adventurous nature of the Explorer. Looking forward in learning which one is your favorite. All the best, Alex

The thing is that the dial of the Freccione is a bit complex, so you can only play with a one color strap, I think... A creamy Nato is cool, it matches with the indexes, a black one works too, and if you're in a Halloween Mood, go for the orange: pg Damn,...
