Hello, I'd like to pick your collective brains if I may and ask when the Flip-Lock bracelet clasp was first introduced? I've seen quite a few 'folded' bracelets with flip lock clasps and I assume these were later replacements. Was the flip-lock introduced... 

I believe this would be the 9290/8 and then 9315........introduced first on a Sub and then Sea-Dweller. So, hard to be totally specific to a single year, but definitely late-1960s for the 9315 and a bit earlier for the 9290/8.....mid-60s?

I did'nt realise it was that early - very interesting. Do the earlier versions have any distinguishing features? It's good to keep learning!! Thanks again. Vernon

I think it is safe to say mid 60\'s with the early sea dwellers at least for the 9315. Below is a very early example and highly coveted "PAT PEND". This one is stamped 1 70. 9315 with 280 end links. The next model here is the "PATENTED" Also 9315 The thir...
