Our IGOTT II was not only a celebration of modern watches, as it gave us the opportunity to share some delicious Vintage pieces. Here are some excellent examples which come from the collection of IGOTT members. Before the gathering in Vegas, a nice array ...
Truly a fantastic collection of Rolexes all at two places. I fear my favorite may be the Triple 6 Submariner with the double red lines of text. When are you and the family coming back to visit? Did you know our weather is like this all the time here in Ca...
The good news is that they all have a strong charm, but they don't all cost an arm... When will I come back? The sooner, the better... Next year, I think. Best, my friend. Nicolas.
Thanks for sharing! You were in good company as a few of those belong to my friend!! No names mentioned but definitely his 4 line and 6542!! Very nice display of vintage beauties!! Next time I'll bent here with some of my children!! Best- Ken
But you have a sharp eye, for sure. I do hope that next time you'll be there? Are you living in California? We have to arrange something, next time, definitely. Best, Nicolas.
Nicolas-- Next time perhaps--I am from Los Angeles and now live on East Coast. Too funny--small world--I know the 6542 as well. Too few examples around and each has a distinct look or mark to it which makes it recognizable to those who look carefully!! A ...
Not only Vegas, well, for the ambiance and for sharing our passion with so many great friends, yes, but what I saw of California did please me a lot. Best, Vicente. Nicolas.
superbly photographed. Good to see the vintages and what superb and rare examples. That Gmt is to die for.I like the moderns but enjoy the vintages as well especially Rolex's.Cheers.
For vintage, all these elements are not considered defects and not necessarily devalue the watch. Further, they adds uniqueness on the watches. You can't say the same for new watches - because they are defects. Regards Ling
of these wonderful pieces and nice pics. too. When you see such fine examples it makes it almost impossible for us newbies to ever get a hold of one in such condition. Again, the Vlad strikes and makes us drool.
The vintage roelxes have a big magic, but these ones are just fabulous. Wasn't a 6062 with the moonphase present ??? Thanks for sharing best regards georges
I haven't seen such beautiful vintage Rolex's since... we had lunch! LOL. It's nice to see a little vintage love at IGOTT. The Bakelite bezel GMT is to die for.
While in L.A, I had our Londonian GTG Lunch in mind... I can't imagine how the L.A GTG would be with our Baron friend. I may soon get a nice surprise, by the way. Something close to a piece I fell in love with, when we met in London, and a piece of yours....
The piece of yours with which I totally fell in love with... You have the Chrono, in NOS condition, I found the time only, in good condition. Are you seeing, now? Best, Nicolas.
As you know, I hunt it for a very long time, now... The Chrono and the time only side by side? It will be a " net first "! End of next week, my friend... It will be long! Best, Nicolas.
There are much more variations on a same reference... Look at the GMTs, for example, or the Subs... And the problem is that the budget is much more important... But I can tell you that the pleasure they will bring you is immense, as you could experience i...
Is this your new one, the one you told me where waiting for? Bezel looks amazing - the bakerlite or resin?, infact the whole set, with box and papers is stunning! IMO that model is THE best GMT in the world!! cheers Tony p.s. did your last one find a home...
Mine is on Patrice's wrist, now, and I locked the 6542 I told you... But it will take some time to fund it. This 6542, the one of this post, is belonging to a good friend of mine. Agreed that it is the most exciting GMT... After all, it is a Pussy Galore!...
Beautiful rolexes, great close-ups and pictures! They certainly are the eye candy! They almost look too precious to touch...I love the colored ones - they just have such a vintage-y feel to them. Thanks for the post. I didn't see if you said which one was...
It is hard to resist to the appeal of each of them, indeed. The good thing with these Vintage is that each of them is very special, almost unique, due to their patina. Which one do I prefer? I mentionned it... The 6542, certainly because I'm more a GMT fa...
Why does a small piece of metal make us smile? How is it that faded colors cause so much satisfaction? How come a light reflection on a domed plexi brings us light into our eyes? Congrats on such beautiful pieces my friend!
But a romantic virus! One that speaks of big challenges and big achievements, of climbing the highest mountain, of times when man used to fly on open planes... and their dearest watch remained by their side, faithful... By the way, two words come to my mi...
