Rolex

no problem from me...

......i am not here to try to persuade you to love Sea_Dwellers...of course not. We all have our loves and dislikes, and we all have our very unique motivations for liking a style.

For me, the Sea-Dweller is iconic for Rolex. It marked a move by Rolex into serious diving. The invention and testing of the helium valve was a move by Rolex towards the serious tool-watch as opposed to the Sub. Many reasons could be cited for why SDs are special in the history of Rolex. The involvement with famous diving expeditions etc etc.

However, I do have one problem with your analysis.... technically of course a Sea-Dweller is a Submariner. Early versions of the SD carried the Submariner name, and it is really a part of the Sub family. So, to collect Subs without having SDs in that collection is a big hole in my opinion. But of course, that is not a reason to collect them...you have to love them. I fell for them only once i had tried one on my wrist...But SDs are Subs....
