New Arrival FXD

The Tudor FXD creeped into my head slowly. At first I dismissed it because I’ve never hopped on the NATO bandwagon. I had a Heuer 1550 on a NATO years ago, but the “back pack” of extra strap material irritated me. I have enjoyed textile straps like the Kevlar from Omega or GP, and the Trieste from GO. So I realized the FXD doesn’t need a real NATO, and I think I like the supplied strap. Over time the images of the FXD and it’s muted blue dial and nearly Sinn UX Hydro-esqe flatness of the dial won me over. Then a couple of weeks ago I was able to handle a FXD at a local Red Bar event. I was smitten. With pool and boating season nearly here, it was time to act.

Minutes after it I strapped it on, I went for a several mile run, and the watch disappeared on my wrist. Very comfortable. The unusual lume color really looks great with the blue dial and bezel too.
