Looks coherent with the rest of the dial.

If you had a T Swiss T dial, your " orange " hand would have be more yellowish .

Best,

Well, just a guess...

an early 70's model would have a straight second hand, a late 70's watch a different bezel and a "swiss T<25" dial. So this one should be from the mid 70's and I know that lots of 1655 were produced in 1974...

Query on 1655

I recently got a 1655. It has a 3.3mil serial number, lollipop second hands and TSwiss<25T dial with light orange hand. Anyone knows which year it was produced cos it has no papers.

Have a look here, democritus

Have a look here, and you will see that your watch is from 1971... rolex.watchprosite.com Which may cause some questions, AFAIK : 1/ It should definitly have a T Swiss T Dial. 2/ The second hand should be straight, not lollipop. Best, nicolas

Thanks for clarification

Thanks pal, The watch has been checked and everything is legit. Bezel is definitely a service replacement. Guess the second hands and dial might also have been replaced at sometime earlier.

That sounds logical.

So, you mean likely the whole dial, hands and bezel were change sometime between 1973 and 1980. All still Tritium and not luminova but not inherent to the 3.3mil original? Thanks and any still a lovely watch to me. Close-up...

To me, the dial, hands and bezel have been changed in 1978 or later.

As in 1978, the T Swiss < 25 were born. Yes. Best, nicolas

Thanks

Thanks for the clarification. Ok, at least everything still original and RSC will service it in the future. And the dealer wasn't lying to me that the watch and all parts are real. Cheers.

I'm Jealous!!
