Rolex

Rare are watches which can be really called novelties. More of them only have different dials and colors or metal iterations. The Tudor Monarch is truly a new watch. New case, new dial, new look, new spirit... For a new pleasure! " Born to dare " is Tudor...  

...but don't need 'Master Chronometer' or the shield at 12...

but I'm curious to see how the dimensions will work (or not) on a wrist like mine: 39 x 11,9 mm in the Tudor way is probably too bulky, but I might be wrong. Chopard's Alpine Eagle measures 41 x 9,7 mm and it's surprisingly wearable even on a smaller wris... 

I was able to see this watch at the local Tudor boutique and really liked it. Really great finishing as we have come to expect from the brand ! The dial color,although very nice,was however not for me and I would wait to see for Tudor releasing other vari... 

Why? Because, from my perspective, so many things simply come together here: the construction, the fresh idea behind it, the beautiful design, and also the fair price-to-value proposition. I had the chance to see the watch during Watches and Wonders, and ... 

I liked it the moment I saw it a few weeks ago. As you mentioned it is a fresh new design and belongs on the bracelet, I specially like the shape of the center links. If I may be a bit picky I would have liked that the crown could have had a bit the shape... 

I guess it is a question of taste, if the side of the crown would have been polished and with a bit of facet, a bit of width, it would have looked better in my humble opinion.

I was smitten by the first images of it coming out of W&W and have since been visiting ADs here regularly (sometimes several a day) in hopes of seeing it in the metal and possibly snaring one. No luck yet, but reading your thoughts just now has redoubled ... 

It's a very interesting watch.

I just think a thinner design would make a huge improvement. I am of course saying that without having tried it on the wrist. I also think a solid case back would be more cohesive with this type of watch.

This would be THE watch release of 2026. Still I have not tried it and it can very well end on my wrist.

Tried it on during W&W, it was a love of first sight. Not only the case, dimensions and wearability on my 6.5, but the papyrus dial color in reality is much nicer than in any photo I’ve seen. It’s still hard for us to digest a5$k+ simple Tudor, I thin... 

Is the fact that this Tudor is one of the highlights of this year’s W&W a statement about the piece itself, or more to do with the lack of truly captivating releases? While I like the quirkiness of the Monarch, the mix of Roman numerals and line markers a...
