Is the Oyster case really the best looking or most comfortable case in the world? Are the Milgauss hands set really the most interesting hands one could want to stare at all the time? If not, why bother hacking up a Rolex when you could essentially create this same piece with lets say, a used IWC Mark XVI for a fraction of the price? I highly doubt any Rolex guy would appreciate this for being a Rolex, any non-Rolex guy certainly won't appreciate it for being a Rolex. I hope they modded it with a sapphire caseback so you could at least see the movement for a change (and thus removing the iron shield). I can understand modifying a watch "ever so slightly" to achieve something the brand is unwilling to do, or once did but no longer, but doing this the way it is presented is a head scratcher. Though I do recognize "to each his own".
