Sunday ruminations - What’s your opinion?

My [LGF] Submariner has been a trusted and versatile companion over the years. As you see here, I’ve been wearing it on a cardura strap that I sourced from Jean Rousseau, in part because of the old “rattly” bracelet. Now, with the arrival of the new Subma...

I don’t think so.

The two have (to our eyes, and yours too) material differences. And if you decide to keep the current Sub on a strap then that’s even more differentiation. You are also asking this in a place where having and identical watch save for the font on the dial ...

You forget the new movement, 21 mm bracelet, new clasp and the ceramic bezel

I’m convinced.

Thank you for reinforcing those points. I unfairly overlooked them.

Go get the 124060! [nt]

Not redundant, if, you keep the current version on a strap..

And the new Rollie on a bracelet. Then, in my opinion, you'll have two watches without having to change straps and cause un-necessary scratches...

I've been on this long journey finding out the right sub for me and it had me always going back to the 14060 as a first option..

Here's the pros: 1) lugs taper better even compared to the latest sub. Hell, my SD43 tapers better compared to the new sub. 2) lug holes 3) 40mm case although Rolex did a good job calling the new one a 41 (I think they did that to generate buzz) but is ac...
