This Air King ticks many boxes for me, although I have the Milgauss ( same case & mvmt) & an Explorer I. Pretty sure, it is a very nice package for Rolex, lots of DNA but attractive by itself, as well. Thx for your review, read & re-read it Best, hs

Now, there is one thing I regret: The size of the case. As an air King I would like to see something around 38 / 39 mm. I know, this is the Milgauss case they used for that watch. And the Milgauss is 40 mm big. But, still... The Air King is a name apart. ... 

Rolex communication is very focused on this aerial environment and insists on the role of the anti-magnetic feature of the watch which is important for such purpose. So we need to forget the 34mm Air King: the name is the same but the watch is totally dif...

very clever of Rolex: you change another icon that is the Explorer but transfer design elements of it (numerals that are not luminescent) on to a re-edition of another model. Very smart: that is Rolex! The Air King seems to be a very, very attractive watc... 

The old Air Kings were close to an Oyster Precision or Date Just anyway, from what I recall. Let us see if the dial or the bracelet can make up for it.

... in this context, the Milgauss case became mandatory. Step by step, Rolex is redesigning its catalogue and some watches like the OP 36mm play the role the former AK was playing... and with a higher price. Thanks Moritz! Fx

watch, to say the least. The dial seems disconcerting at first; but as i continue to look at it I find it draws me in. Need to see this one in person.

To me it is the second best looking Rolex in the collection. I still like the budget model 'White Grape' better, from a visual point of view. The numbering on the dial is different, very Rolex and well balanced and although this model is may be not for ev... 

Frankly, I have not grown a mature opinion about this ref. While I do like the extraordinary side of the dial, I wonder from time to time what is missing to make it sing. Maybe it\'s the 3-6-9 layout with a white arrow at 12? - I don\'t know. In any case,...

This is definately under the radar...probably because of the Daytona. Interesting that my dealer has had no calls about the Air King at all...but in excess of 150 calls in the first week about the Daytona..!! So the Air King should be easy to get hold of ... 

I spoke with my AD about the list and of course, the Daytona is by far the leader of the pack. But the Air-King is the second one (very far from the Daytona to be clear...). Thanks for your comments. Fx
